OK here's the full story. I had been in the hobby of buying domain names for about 2-3 months at the time. My stock of names was looking pretty good and I had been developing quite a few sites. (In fact all of the names I get are for potential development unless of course someone talks me out of a name with more money than I could make on the developed site.) Anyway, I start digging around the PCZero.Net! site and their Domain Name Search tool looked pretty neat. It was late so some pretty crazy names were being entered... Well to make a long story even longer, I type in "StickItUpYour" and damn it came up as not registered.
Of course at that time I had no clue in the world what I was going to use this name for. I just thought it was something neat to be able to tell people I owned. So I forked out the dough ($15 at the time) and grabbed it. It sat for a week or two and then a brainstorm hit. Damn near knocked me clean out of my chair it was so obvious.
Well this site is the idea I had. Yeah I know its kind of lame but this is it. So maybe it was the fact that I grew up (maybe that should be AGED) during the 70's, but whatever it was the lone segment of my brain left could only come up with this. That's my story and I am sticking to it! |
